Cinnamon Spiced Green Apple Fries
Ingredients:
- 2 Granny Smith green apples
- 1½ tbsp lime juice
- 1/3 cup cornflour
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1tsp cinnamon powder
- Sunflower oil for frying
Method:
- In a bowl, mix sugar, salt and cinnamon together and keep aside.
- Remove the core from the centre of the apples with the help of the corer; peel and cut them into French fries shapes.
- Pour lime juice on apple fingers, mix well; toss them in cornflour, shake off excess flour and deep fry them in medium to high heat in small batches.
- Cook for about 3 minutes until golden brown and drain on absorbent paper. Toss them in cinnamon sugar and serve them hot with vanilla ice cream.

Banana Chips With Guacamole
Ingredients for Banana Chips:
- 4-6 large raw bananas
- Kosher salt
- Oil for frying
Ingredients for Guacamole:
- 2 avocados, ripe and firm
- 1 lime, juiced
- ½ tomato, deseeded and finely chopped
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 1tbsp coriander, chopped
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Take a large bowl of water, add a tsp of kosher salt and keep aside.
- Heat oil for deep frying.
- Wash,pat dry bananas. Take one banana at a time and thinly slice along the skin with the help of mandoline slicer; immerse them in bowl of salt water.
- Follow that by taking the slices out one by one from water; remove excess water on absorbent paper and drop them in medium to hot oil (make sure not to overcrowd the pan).
- Fry for 4-5 minutes and drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle with little kosher salt and leave to cool. Repeat with the rest of the bananas.
- For guacamole, cut avocados, scoop out flesh and mash with back of fork; add all the other ingredients and mix.
- Serve banana chips with guacamole for the tea or a party snack.
