Muscat Festival, the annual month-long fiesta is back to engage residents with an exciting lineup of entertainment, games and exhibitions.
Muscat Festival, the biggest event in Oman’s annual calendar, is set to unleash a fresh wave of excitement as it sets the tempo for happening evenings. From January 10 to February 9, the Festival unfolding at Al Amerat and Naseem Parks, from 4pm to 11pm on weekdays and midnight on weekends, will permeate the city with its unending rounds of fun activities. It will recreate a party ambience for guests to switch off from the humdrum of everyday lives to soak in the revelry and fun in the festival grounds.
The Festival, which has, over the years, established itself as a platform for celebration and exhibition of Omani traditional culture, heritage and lifestyle, will feature a thematic Omani village with a traditional souq alongside live cooking stations presenting popular Omani halwas and other traditional cuisines. Guests will be treated to traditional dances and folk music to add to the mood of the village.
The mandatory amusement rides and electronic game zones will keep children enthralled, while adults can indulge in a variety of exhibitions, entertainment events and shopping outlets. A host of cultural events are also on the agenda.
