Najla Al-Jamali, the creator of the Najla Zuhair brand, started designing handbags in 2004, under the label Jizdaani, after being inspired by the ornate belt on a Khanjar. She introduced her brand Najla Zuhair 10 years later and the collection reflects her own maturing taste and is inspired by elegance, class and simplicity. The Omani born designer continues to reference her Middle Eastern heritage, crafting luxurious materials into unique shapes, reflecting a modern yet timeless aesthetic.

The Najla Zuhair collection is inspired by elegance, class and simplicity. After 10 years of designing handbags under the label Jizdaani, Najla introduces a new collection reflecting her own changing and maturing taste. The Omani born designer continues to be inspired by her Middle Eastern roots albeit infusing them in more subtle ways. This is embodied by the use of mother of pearl, pearl and arabesque motifs and is also drawn to geometrical shapes and designs.
Najla holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Mathematics with Applied Mathematics/Mathematical Physics from Imperial College, London. She also attained a Master of Science degree in Financial Management from the University of London and participated in a leadership programme at INSEAD, in France.
