Perk up your everyday salads with some flavoursome dressing recipes that are easy to put together
Greek Yoghurt Ranch Dressing
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup Greek yoghurt
- 1 clove garlic, minced finely
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, minced
- 2tbsp diced onion
- 2tbsp fresh chives or dill, minced
- 1tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2tsp Dijon mustard
- 2tbsp lemon juice
- ¼ cup buttermilk
Method:
- Place all the ingredients in a blender or a food processor and pulse it a couple of times to combine well. Alternately, whisk the ingredients in a bowl to combine them.
- Pour the dressing into a jar and leave it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes for the flavours to blend.
- Serve it with your salad.
Honey-Mustard Dressing
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Method:
- Use a medium bowl to whisk together the mustard, honey, vinegar, salt and pepper.
- Add in the oil gradually and whisk it further to get a creamy texture.
- Let the flavours blend for an hour or so before using. The leftover dressing could be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Maple Balsamic Dressing
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ¼ cup olive oil
Method:
- Combine vinegar and maple syrup in a blender. Add in oil gradually to the mixture.
- Use this immediately to enhance the flavours of salad.
