3D-Printed Camping Stove
Camping enthusiasts can now boil water or cook meals without getting intimidated by wind. A team of students in Zurich have designed a unique wind-proof 3-D printed camping stove that brings the flame inside. Its shape shields the burner from harsh winds and allows the device to boil water with high efficiency. The PeakBoil stove fits inside a special kettle jug, which allows a gas tube to feed fuel through the bottom. A series of Venturi nozzles use localised pressure differentials to feed the flames inside the combustion chamber, which is protected from wind by high sides and a narrow top chimney.
