Fraser Suites opens in Muscat

Travellers to Muscat can now experience luxurious hospitality with the recent opening of Fraser Suites Muscat. The 120-key property is Fraser Hospitality’s first facility in Oman, offering business and leisure travellers’ a range of amenities and facilities, including a rooftop pool, 24-hour gym, spa, all-day dining restaurant, children’s play area. Under the ownership of Amer Al Suleimani and co-owners, Ammar Al Suleimani and Ahmed Al Suleimani, Fraser Suites Muscat seeks to redefine the concept of hospitality. Its prime location puts it in the vicinity of a host of F&B outlets, mega shopping and lifestyle destinations such as the Mall of Oman and Muscat Grand Mall, several large multinational companies, and Muscat International Airport.

 

Oman Air announces new codeshare agreement with Lufthansa

Oman Air is continuing its expansion across Europe by extending its codeshare agreement with Lufthansa. Under the expanded code share agreement, passengers can now travel on Oman Air flights from Muscat International Airport and connect to Madrid, Brussels, Vienna and Prague from Lufthansa’s Frankfurt and Munich hubs. The agreement offers travellers even better connectivity and an extended range of services between Muscat and Europe. Lufthansa will continue to codeshare with Oman Air on Oman Air-operated services from both Frankfurt and Munich to Muscat and vice versa, allowing their guests to experience the hospitality and service of Oman Air. Oman Air guests will be able to fly onwards to Brussels Airport (BRU), Vienna International Airport (VIE), Vaclav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) and Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) in Europe.

 

Omantel and Tourism Ministry enrich tourism with digital services

Omantel has announced its strategic partnership with the Ministry of Tourism to further enrich tourism in Oman with digital services. As part of the partnership, tourists will enjoy a new big-data based application that offers a comprehensive travel experience in addition to staying connected through Omantel’s high speed Wi-Fi at a number of the most visited forts in the Sultanate. “By offering advanced technologies to tourists, we are helping tourists to communicate more efficiently and easing the process of making reservations, finding information and travel maps. Tourist will also be able to document their journeys while in Oman, which will significantly help us to reach a wider audience,” said H.E. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrizi, Minister of Tourism.
