Wild and Wearable

Nubia’s Alpha ‘smartphone’, described as the wildest wearable yet, will be the largest wearable flexible screen in the industry, when it goes on sale before the end of this year. Its strikingly massive and flexible display, offering all of the essential functions of a smartphone at the fingertips, makes Nubia Alpha truly special. It is protected by a strong, heat-resistant polymer called Polyimide and the entire device is water-resistant. It comes with a 4Gmodem that ensures true standalone wireless connectivity and is equipped with a 5MP camera that can be used to make video calls as well as take selfies. The Alpha also doubles as a fitness tracker with basic sleep, exercise and heart rate monitoring.

Ironpie, the Next-Gen AI Home Robot

Here is an answer to all your home cleaning problems – Ironpie smart robot vacuum from Trifo! While a robotic vacuum is not a new phenomenon, what makes Ironpie different is its AI-enabled capabilities that go beyond cleaning. It has an elevated degree of intelligence and will rely on proprietary TIRVS (Trifo Intelligent Robotics Vision System) that has been paired with the world’s smallest, lowest power and most efficient Armv8-A quad-core processor. This makes it deliver high performance levels and also remain cost efficient. It is able to achieve 10 percent more efficiency by using a zigzag cleaning mode; it is able to identify different areas that have not been cleaned yet; and is capable of sensing obstacles as well.

Wearable Bike Lighting System

Among a host of wearable bicycle-safety lighting products is this new one called the Wayv system from a British startup of the same name. With a total of over 200 LEDs, Wayv consists of three waterproof components – an adjustable harness that fits over a backpack or jacket, a helmet unit that attaches to the rear air vents of most third-party helmets, and a handlebar-mounted wireless remote. The harness and helmet unit both have a large red X in the middle, which serves as a tail light, alongside amber turn indicators on either side. The harness also has a set of indicators on the front and the remote is used to activate the turn signals. Bikers only need to flick a thumb lever either up or down to indicate left or right turns, then return it to its neutral middle position to turn the indicators off.
