Your disco needs you and I’m not just talking about the infectious Kylie Minogue hit that should have been tearing up every dance floor since 2000, but hasn’t, because life’s not fair. When I say your disco needs you, I mean that it needs to be in your wardrobe.
There’s no surprise or denial of the fact that I LOVE shimmer; it’s the one thing I ask of girls when they look for tips from me and it’s the one thing I think impresses… I’m clearly easily distracted.
What I have been loving from designers, recently, is their focus on including more disco on their runways; it’s not all human sized disco balls and glitter effects, but it’s in the Lamé, it’s in the gold body suits and the spandex!
Seeing designers like Paco Rabanne, Tommy Hilfiger, Staud, Saint Laurent and Michael Kors (who had it as a theme) get their disco looks down the runway has been the ultimate joy.
The time has come for YOU to try it. Disco doesn’t have to be loud or obnoxious; it doesn’t have to be an entire show if you are not that kind of girl. So don’t buy your outfit at party city, BUT do add some lamé to an otherwise neutral outfit, or hey you can even find chiffon that shines.
BUT PLEASE …. Don’t fall for the sandal heels, they are still a crime and should only be worn by dancers – and even then just for productivity.
