Registrations open for Oman by UTMB® 2020
The countdown to Oman by UTMB® 2020 has begun, with registration open at www.omanbyutmb.com for the Ultra-Trail World Tour’s season ending event in December. The 2020 edition of Oman by UTMB® will be the season ending event on this year’s Ultra-Trail® World Tour calendar. From 3 to 5 December, 2020, runners of Oman by UTMB® will traverse date palm filled oases and abandoned ancient villages, and experience breathtaking views as they summit peaks thousands of metres above sea level in Al Hajar Mountain range. Two new distances, 100km and 150km, have been introduced for the 2020 event. Runners will need 3 qualifying points to take part in the 100km event, and 4 for the 150km. In addition to earning 5 and 6 qualifying points for completing the respective courses, finishers will also collect ‘Running Stones’ – 15 for the 100km and 18 for the 150km, offering a fast-tracked entry to UTMB® Mont-Blanc races in Chamonix.
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts opens new hotel in Muscat
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has announced the soft opening of its new hotel in Muscat. Located in Dohat Al Adab, the Wyndham Garden Muscat Al Khuwair overlooks the Sultan Qabous Street and is only 20 minutes away from Muscat International Airport. Announcing the hotel’s soft opening, General Manager Yasser Bahaa stated that the property offers 143 -rooms and suites. Guests have free access to a Fitness Center, with an indoor swimming pool for ladies only, outdoor pool, steam room, and sauna. In addition to a variety of restaurants such as ‘Al-Andalus Restaurant’, the hotel is a perfect destination for business, friends, and family. ‘Express café’, the in-house café, offers a selection of bakery and a variety of hot & cold beverages. The soon to open ‘Churrascaria Steakhouse’ is the first Brazilian authentic restaurant in Muscat. The hotel is also part of the ‘Al Nawras’ shopping center.
HuQQa launches delicious new breakfast dishes
HuQQa, at Al Mouj Marina, has launched an all-new breakfast menu celebrating some of the trendiest morning staples, prepared by a team of innovative chefs. The new breakfast menu will feature dishes made with the freshest ingredients and imaginative creations. Dishes include the signature Dynamite Shrimp Bruschetta, served with avocado on toasted sourdough bread; Bosporus Toast topped with sucuk, mozzarella and acuka; Truffle Scrambled Egg Simit, served on a Turkish bagel; Avocado Mushroom Benedict; and Pastrami Hummus Toast, to name a few. Guests will also enjoy the restaurant’s selection of sweet and savoury pastries, as well as a variety of cold and hot beverages prepared by HuQQa’s stylish baristas.
