Engineer Haitham Jaffer Al Bahrani and Partners DSC who are a multi-disciplinary architecture, engineering, electrical and mechanical engineering have inaugurated their new offices in Al Yasmeen Complex in Al Khuwair. H.E. Maitha Saif Majid Al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary at the Tourism Ministry, cut the symbolic ribbon to inaugurate the plush new office in the presence of dignitaries and senior level guests, from both the private and public sectors. Speaking on the occasion, Engineer Haitham Al Bahrani, Chairman of the new offices Board stated that the new branch would pave the way for a richer local experience. “This is a significant milestone in the architectural horizon of Oman. DSC brings with it close to two decades of experience in the field, having carved its niche in Asia, Middle East, and Africa from its headquarters in Egypt.”
Strong response to Meethaq Sukuk
Meethaq, the pioneer of Islamic banking in Oman from Bank Muscat, has evoked strong response to the Sultanate’s first Sukuk programme. The maiden RO25 million issuance, which is part of a larger RO100 million Sukuk programme for retail and institutional investors, was open for subscription till 1 June. The debut Sukuk issuance for RO 25 million comes with a green shoe option of a further RO25 million, in case of oversubscription. The issue has an indicative profit rate of 5 percent per annum with a tenure of five years. The Meethaq Sukuk programme is set to transform the landscape of Islamic banking in Oman. Meethaq Sukuk is priced RO 1.002 per certificate, including the issue expense of 2 baisa per certificate.
MGM to give away eight Honda Civics
Muscat Grand Mall (MGM) has announced the launch of its new ‘8 Big Reasons to Shop This Summer’ promotion. Oman Air launches its CSR Guide

SalamAir launches direct services to Pakistan
SalamAir, Oman’s first budget airline, has welcomed Pakistan to its fast-growing route network with direct flights to Sialkot, beginning on 16th May and to Multan on 23rd May. SalamAir services to both cities will operate thrice weekly, with one-way tickets starting at just RO30. Underscoring the key role these new routes will play in promoting business and leisure travel between Oman and Pakistan, Khalid Al Yahmadi, Chairman of SalamAir said: “While these services will facilitate increased travel flows, they will also provide important connectivity for enterprises keen to capitalise on Oman’s investor-friendly regulatory framework as they explore the wealth of commercial opportunities in the Sultanate’s diversifying economic base.”
Oman Avenues Mall wraps up ‘Grand Celebrations’
