Oman Fighting Championship (OFC), the martial arts league in the Sultanate, has unveiled its third annual fight night, OFC3 Battlegrounds. Set to take place on 16th December at the Barr Al Jissah Amphitheatre, this highly anticipated event is expected to draw crowds of up to 1200 people, making it the largest OFC event so far. The event, adjudicated by World Kick Boxing Federation (WKBF) judges and referees, will showcase the best talent in Oman and will serve to bolster the growing popularity of martial arts in the Sultanate. Commenting on the upcoming event, OFC President Baqar Haider said, “OFC3, as promised, will be bigger and better than we’ve ever seen before. The surge in popularity of martial arts in Oman is clear, with an official UFC gym opening earlier this year.” OFC3 follows the success of the previous year, an event that drew maximum capacity crowds and resulted in the crowning of Hussein Jahjah of RX Gym who took out the Middleweight Title and Vinod Kumar of the Oman Kickboxing Club who bagged the Lightweight Title.
