MGM welcomes DHgate’s Digital Trade Centre
Muscat Grand Mall (MGM) saw the launch of the DHgate.com’s first wholesale storefront Digital Trade Centre (DTC) at its premises recently. With the introduction of the DTC, Chinese sellers can sell their goods worldwide through a cross-border B2B approach. Furthermore, this allows consumers to inspect items in person before making any purchases. DHgate.com sells a range of products, including electronics, apparel, health and beauty items, among others. It is considered the largest digital platform in China that focuses exclusively on B2B transactions. The DTC in Oman will focus on integrating online and offline business models to allow improved communications with wholesalers for easier purchase opportunities. Buyers can place an order using the DHgate app or scan the QR code accompanying the product and it will be shipped to them.
Third A320neo Aircraft joins SalamAir’s fleet
SalamAir has announced the arrival of its new A320neo, the third to join its fleet since December 2018. The narrow-body jet, an update of Airbus’ classic A320 and its best-selling model, has been custom-built for the airline and offers a host of passenger benefits, including optimised cabin space, extra stowage space, and greater comfort. The highly sought-after A320neo, which was launched in 2010 as an upgraded model of the award-winning A320, features beautifully designed Airspace cabins, offering greater space. It also boasts significant environmental improvements including a 16 percent reduction in fuel burn, almost 50 percent fewer noise emissions, as well as a 14 percent lower cash operating cost per seat compared with the previous model.
