Dressing For Your Salads

Perk up your everyday salads with some flavoursome dressing recipes that are easy to put together

 

Greek Yoghurt Ranch Dressing

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup Greek yoghurt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced finely
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 2tbsp diced onion
  • 2tbsp fresh chives or dill, minced
  • 1tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup buttermilk

Method:

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender or a food processor and pulse it a couple of times to combine well. Alternately, whisk the ingredients in a bowl to combine them.
  2. Pour the dressing into a jar and leave it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes for the flavours to blend.
  3. Serve it with your salad.

 

Honey-Mustard Dressing

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Method:

  1. Use a medium bowl to whisk together the mustard, honey, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  2. Add in the oil gradually and whisk it further to get a creamy texture.
  3. Let the flavours blend for an hour or so before using. The leftover dressing could be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

 

Maple Balsamic Dressing

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Method:

  1. Combine vinegar and maple syrup in a blender. Add in oil gradually to the mixture.
  2. Use this immediately to enhance the flavours of salad.
