Oman Oil installs electric vehicle charger at Mazoon Street Service Station

Leading the way to serve a new era of customers, Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMC) is providing electric car drivers an easy and convenient way to recharge. It has installed an electric vehicle (EV) charger at its Mazoon Street service station in Muscat. David Kalife, CEO at OOMC said, “With electric vehicles increasing in popularity throughout the region, OOMC is also rapidly changing to ensure that we prepare for the needs of today’s eco-friendly drivers.” Able to charge two vehicles simultaneously, the EV charging station has a total charge capacity of 44KW, with 22KW from each socket allowing for electric vehicles to completely charge in less than an hour. While electric cars are still a minority within the Sultanate’s market, OOMC’s eco-friendly charging station is part of a driving force increasing the company’s standing as a one-stop shop.

Muscat University launches new Cybersecurity Education Center

In its efforts to enrich the educational experience in the country, Muscat University has formed a unique partnership with both the National Security Services Group and the Templar Executives to establish a Cybersecurity Education Center in Oman. Templar Executives will provide accredited training courses, to be attended by elite of experts in this field. This partnership is a new addition to the advancement of the Cybersecurity Education basis in the Sultanate, making it available to all and meeting the needs of the various executive, technical and academic levels.  It should be noted that the services of the Cybersecurity Center will cater to all levels and provide an opportunity to organisations, and students to enrol in upcoming technical, executive and academic courses.

Oman Sports School Association and Sabco Sports sign marketing agreement  

Oman School Sports Association has signed a partnership agreement with Sabco Sports for marketing and media activities. The agreement to support and improve school sports activities was signed by H.E. Dr. Hamoud Bin Khalfan Al Harthi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Curriculum, Chairman of Oman Sports School Association, and Sayyid Khalid Bin Hamed Bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sabco Group. Through the four-year agreement, the Oman School Sports Association seeks to develop the existing system and find ways to finance the implementation of school sports plans and programmes, improve sports activities and the selection of school sporting talent. In addition, the Association aims to form school teams to take part in regional and international championships.
