The Beauty Oasis Spa is UAE’s first concept spa and wellness centre. It is a home-grown concept featuring a luxurious three-floor facility, combining a fully functional spa, a salon, nail spa, gymnasium, as well as an enclosed wet area with a pool and dedicated steam and sauna rooms and Moroccan bath, along with a healthy eatery.
A short drive away from the busy city life, The Beauty Oasis Spa is tucked away in the cosy centre of the Emirate of Ajman. I arrived at the spa in good time, thanks to a chauffeuring service provided for me.
On arrival, I was offered detox water and briefed by our charming host about the beauty treatments that were going to be provided to me, followed by a detailed tour of the entire facility. All the treatment rooms in the facility are extremely welcoming, and have complete privacy; every level has a waiting area, where visitors accompanying customers can relax over a cup of herbal tea or coffee.
The place is huge for a stand-alone Spa! The treatment menu boasts a variety of all-natural face and body treatments, including full body scrubs like fresh coffee scrub and fresh facials, such as the signature strawberry facial. In addition, an array of massages – including the Hot Stone and Thai Hot compress – are available and carried out by trained professionals.
I was escorted from the waiting area to the treatment room by a therapist who greeted me and asked me to fill out a detailed form to determine if any special care needed to be taken during the treatment, so as to ensure that the procedure is tailored to one’s specific preferences.
After thoroughly cleansing my skin, a Skin Analyzer was used to analyse the areas of the skin that need more care and assess the level of damage my skin has gone through. I was enlightened with a 3D view of my skin, and for a second there I thought I was looking at the surface of the moon with all its craters! How gross those little spots on your face look up close…
Gentle and relaxing as billed, the treatment begins with a scrub which is carried out in a soothing atmosphere; the air aromatic, the room temperature perfect and lights dimmed out with soothing music in the background. I had to really try hard not to fall asleep.
I was treated to PROSkin 60 Face Treatment, which is idealforpeople in the Gulf region who have severely dehydrated skins. Dermalogica products used in the treatment give immediate results and leave your skin looking radiant and hydrated. You will be given a delightfully relaxing head massage, neck, shoulder and body massage while the mask works its magic. Lying on the table, I was offered a mirror to see how I was beaming from the after-glow of the PROSkin 60 treatment.
The much-needed Davine’s Hair Treatment was amazing and the results were awesome. My hair was shiny and full of life and regained the lustre lost due to weather conditions. The look lasts for around 8 washes; however, to maintain the results I was advised to wash my hair with mineral water from time to time.
The Spa Manicure and Pedicure focuses on moisturising and detoxifying your skin with the help of their signature clay masks; Argan oil is the main ingredient in all the products used.
I felt completely serene and rejuvenated… I guess 6 hours of pampering will do that to you – a tall order for a mom to a particularly adventurous and naughty 10-year-old. I also took full advantage of the hospitality in the Spa restaurant – herbal teas, detox drinks and an assortment of cookies.
The Beauty Oasis spa is open Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 9pm and welcomes visitors to experience its services either for a full day of pampering or multiple visits as part of their special treatment packages.
