If you are reading this, then you have probably read last month’s column and are well informed on how disappointing August was and how Hollywood was temporarily…cancelled. Until Lady Gaga!

September came and brought with it Lady Gaga’s cinematic debut. Now, ‘A Star Is Born’ doesn’t drop until October 11 in Oman, but the first round of premieres did take place.
Lady Gaga did what she does best; she came back and conquered the field she is in. She is a lead actress for the first time in a movie and she wasn’t going to stop and do anything less than be 100% extra.
Everything about the lead up to the first premiere at the Venice International Film Festival was a photo opportunity, calculated well, and then she showed up on the red carpet in feathers galore. It may have been raining that month, but no one even stopped to focus, because all eyes were on her. She has that charm and she knows how to make it her shtick.
Then came the Toronto premiere of the movie and she went from bright pink to a simple black dress (on Gaga levels, of course). She rocked a veil that turned into a shoulder wrap during an epic reveal moment while the cameras were rolling on the red carpet and the execution was as flawless as the look.
Now, I’m submitting this halfway through the promo campaign, so take it from me and look up the looks that happened after those two premieres, because I can guarantee that she will dominate each red carpet leading to her highly expected Oscar glory.
