The jasmine flowers are harvested in a period of two weeks in summer in the town of Grasse, France. Joy is one of the earlier works of Patou and dates back to 1929. One of the main reasons for the high price of this luxury perfume is that only 50 limited edition bottles of Joy are made each year.
