Ale Al Zadjali talks about his favourites from the quirky fashion ensembles that grabbed international attention at Moschino’s Resort Fashion Show
A month after Yvie Oddly took the crown on RPDR and Moschino had its 2020 Resort Fashion Show, I think the world is about to get a whole more excitingly odd!
What I loved about Moschino’s collection is that it brought ‘Halloween’ to a whole other level. The best part was the runway presentation, he recreated an entire neighborhood for this runway and seeing the models walk down the ‘street’ was very entertaining.
The collection was thrilling but my favourite looks have to be:
- The wedding dress, the construction of the dress on its own was very beautiful but paired with the gloves and shoes…was such a great take on a classic Halloween bride.
- The King Kong dress! We’ve all seen King Kong or heard about it at least, but seeing the hand used as a wrap around the model’s dress was so simple and so forward!
- The Morticia Addams…perhaps the dress was supposed to be a fashionable twist on a regular witch, but paired with the model’s very cinched waist and mannerisms on the runway, I couldn’t help but imagine that this is how Morticia would have done it.
All in all the show was great and even if some looks were too much together, removing the straw (literally) would probably reveal great looks! The jeans with the stitching on them alone look pretty cool.
