Good news for those who indulge in siesta. A new research suggests that a midday nap may not just to boost energy levels but also lower high blood pressure. The researchers found that people who took a daytime nap saw a drop of 5.3 mm Hg in systolic blood pressure, which is what someone would expect when taking blood pressure medication or making certain lifestyle changes to reduce blood pressure. Besides, each additional 60 minutes of napping time reduced average 24-hour systolic blood pressure by 3 mm Hg, they noted. While siesta on weekdays can be a luxury, the ones who can spare time ought to take short naps, suggest researchers.

Mushroom may reduce the risk of mild brain decline, states a study which recommends eating it twice a week.
