NBO Holds Al Kanz Savings Draw

National Bank of Oman (NBO) recently held its September Al Kanz Savings Scheme draw, with OMR 157,500 given to 178 lucky winners. As well as the monthly Sadara and Mazaya draw, which handed out three prizes of OMR 25,000 and four prizes of OMR 10,000 respectively, the bank also held its special Women’s draw, giving OMR 1,000 to six winners; the Youth draw, giving OMR 100 to 115 winners; and the Salary Transfer draw, with OMR 500 earmarked for 50 winners. With only two months left until the end-of-year Mega Draw, there is still plenty of time to start saving and be in for the chance to win up to OMR 250,000.

Customers are eligible to win by maintaining an average minimum balance of OMR 100 in their Al Kanz Savings account. Every OMR 100 provides an extra chance in the draw, so the more money kept in the account, the more the chance of winning. Meanwhile, customers simply have to transfer their salary to NBO to be in for the chance of winning in the Salary Transfer draw.

Wego to Promote Oman Tourism

Wego, the largest online travel marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa, and the Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism have signed an agreement to promote Oman tourism attraction sites in the GCC region.

Through this partnership, Wego and Oman aim to drive the conversation around Oman across all the marketing channels and social media platforms and increase visitor footfall to the country. Over 550,000 searches were performed on Wego’s platform in Q3 2021 from the GCC to Oman. Out of these searches, 34% were from KSA, 27% from UAE, 16% from Kuwait, 14% from Qatar, and 10% were from Bahrain.
