Oman Post, a member of Asyad group, recently signed a collaboration agreement with Oman Investment & Finance Co. (Khedmah), to open service touchpoints at Khedmah locations across the Sultanate. The partnership will provide customers with a one-stop-shop for customers looking to avail of Oman Post’s wide range of postal or logistics services, alongside Khedmah’s other services.
With this latest partnership, Oman Post continues to expand its retail presence and provide tailored postal and logistics services for its growing customer base. Select extended services will be available to customers beyond working hours at the new Oman Post service points at Khedmah. While paying their utility bills, customers can now subscribe and renew their PO Box subscriptions. They can also send shipments internationally using the wide range of Oman Post outbound services, including Express Mail Service (EMS) and ASYAD Express International (AEx). For customers looking to send parcels or shipments within Oman, they can utilize either the Premium Parcel service, offering same-day delivery from and to select locations across the Sultanate or the Rapid Parcel service, providing early delivery in certain locations across Muscat Governorate.
Ali Al Habsi unveils electric bicycles
Retired international legendary goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi has launched electric Specialized bicycles at the Wilayat of Seeb in the governorate of Muscat. The bicycles were introduced in a bid to develop cycling as a hobby in the Sultanate and bring international brands interested in this sport to Oman. Al Habsi hailed the idea to promote cycling in the Sultanate and called on the Omani youth to hone their skills in cycling.
Oman Oil to plant 10 million trees
Oman Oil Marketing Company has joined the national initiative to plant 10 million trees in 10 years. The fuel marketing company has allocated several of its service stations to the scheme, which was inaugurated by the Environment Authority and Petroleum Development Oman in 2020 during Oman Environment Day 8th January in order to preserve wild plants, combat desertification and increase green areas in the Sultanate.
Al Mouj Muscat Marathon on Feb 11, 12
Al Mouj Muscat Marathon is all set to take place in 2022. The Al Mouj Muscat Marathon will be held over the weekend of February 11 and 12, 2022 at Oman’s leading lifestyle and leisure destination. Oman Sail has passed the baton to Sabco Sports to take the renowned sporting event to the next level. The 2022 Al Mouj Muscat Marathon will feature seven race distances: Marathon – 42.2km; Half Marathon – 21.1km; 10km; 5km; 3km; 2km and 1km. The Marathon, Half Marathon and 10 km will be held on Friday, February 11, while the 5km and Kids’ races are scheduled to held on Saturday, February 12. The marathon will be open only to fully vaccinated participants.
