Omran Signs Yiti-Yenkit Development Deal

Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group) – the executive arm of the Sultanate for tourism development – has signed a development agreement with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism to establish Yiti-Yenkit development in the Governorate of Muscat. The development agreement was signed by His Excellency Salim Bin Mohammed Al Mahruqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, and Eng. Mohammed Bin Salim Al Busaidi, Chairman of Omran Group, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Muscat. The strategically planned Yiti-Yenkit project is one of the largest urban developments that will be established in the Sultanate, extending over a total area of 11 square kilometres.

Oman Sail sailors shine at Italy tour

Oman Sail’s team has excelled in the first stages of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour in Italy, held in port cities along the Italian coast, finishing in the top three positions every day so far and leading the overall ranking. Currently in Italy are Team Captain, Nasser Al Mashari, Hussain Al Jabri, Ali Al Balushi, Haitham Al Wahaibi and Akram Al Wahaibi. The crew opened the tournament with two first-place finishes and a second-place, finishing first overall in Genova on day one in strong winds.

Haitham joins Datamount Oman as Deputy CEO

Datamount Oman – a leading data centre service provider headquartered in Muscat – has announced the appointment of Haitham Yousuf Juma Al Zadjali as its Deputy CEO. He has twenty years of experience in the government and private sector in the areas of financial management, advisory and technology project management and corporate governance. He has held senior management positions in several companies as a member of the boards of directors and the presidency and membership of committees in the financial and investment sector, oil and gas, electricity, and others.

NBO launches multi-purpose kiosk 

National Bank of Oman (NBO) has launched its multi-purpose banking kiosk at its Head office at Azaibah. A first in the Sultanate, the kiosk serves customers 24/7, enabling them to complete several tasks including opening an account, making payments, updating their profile, and instantly printing out debit and Badeel prepaid cards in less than 3 minutes. Moreover, it is integrated with the Royal Oman Police’s system, so customers can view and pay traffic fines, manage documents and access a number of other key e-services.
