PEIE unveils its new brand identity ‘Madayn’
The new brand identity of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates was unveiled at its silver jubilee celebration at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, recently. 
The brandmark of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates is now known as Madayn. Meaning ‘small cities’, the name Madayn has been chosen to represent the Sultanate’s thriving nationwide network of world-class business hubs. The grand ceremony began with a speech delivered by Hilal bin Hamad Al Hasani, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), who stated that the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates was established in 1993 to complement the march of Rusayl Industrial Estate Authority with the objective of planning, establishing, managing and developing the industrial estates across Oman.
Radisson Hotel Group signs two hotels in Oman
Radisson Hospitality AB, publicly listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, Sweden and part of the Radisson Hotel Group, has announced two new hotel signings in Oman – Radisson Hotel Apartments, Muscat Hills and Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Apartments, Salalah. This brings the group’s portfolio to 84 hotels and more than 20,000 rooms in operation and under development across the Middle East region. The hotel apartments will be located near the Muscat Hills area and conveniently close to many leisure attractions, as well as the Oman International Exhibition Centre and the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Apartments, Salalah will be strategically located close to Salalah city center, in the coastal area and just 5km away from the new Salalah international airport.
Muscat Eye Laser Center at the forefront of refractive surgery
Dr. Juan Guillermo Arbelaez, Muscat Eye Laser Center’s Cornea and Refractive Surgeon and Associate Scientific Director, presented his latest research in ophthalmology at the 36th Congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) held recently in Vienna, Austria. 
With over 9,400 ophthalmologists from 130 countries worldwide, the Congress provides an exclusive opportunity for top ophthalmologists from the world to meet and discuss their recent breakthroughs. At the congress, Dr. Juan presented papers on myopia correction, single step transepithelial PRK (TransPRK) with SmartPulse Technology and the combination of this procedure with XTRA (Accelerated Crosslinking) to strengthen the cornea, as well as the new asymmetric intra corneal ring segments (ICR Keraring AS).
Millennium Hotels TooMooH Initiative
