Maintaining one’s health and wellness is of the utmost importance, especially in these difficult times we are facing now. Everything we do and every emotion we feel affects our overall well-being. In turn, our well-being directly affects our actions, emotions, and even our health. It’s a cycle that can easily spiral out of control if kept unchecked. Thankfully, there are several things we can do to achieve optimal wellness and in turn subdue stress, reduce the risk of illness, and ensure positive interactions.
In this issue we explore several avenues of health and well-beingness, in particular mental health. This is of concern to many as the majority of us are under tremendous stress and pressure at the moment. That’s why we took the opportunity this month to speak to mental health experts from Whispers of Serenity Clinic, who provide some valuable advice for both adults and children on how to maintain ones health and how to seek help and support in case they need it.
We also catch up with Haitham Al Zadjali, a bodybuilder with an impressive collection of regional and international accolades that include becoming the first and only Arab to become a Mr Olympia finalist in the classic physique division in Las Vegas, USA. He talks about his journey towards his fitness goal as well as offers advice to beginners, as well as those looking to achieve peak physical fitness.
Almost all fashion brands are venturing into manufacture of masks including many local entrepreneurs. We catch up with Ridhi Raman of Reveal by Ridzz as she takes us through an array colourful, washable masks which also help reduce the spread of coronavirus.
