26-year-old Ahmed Al-Busaidi is an information technology graduate and a Competent Communicator (CC) from Toastmasters International, who has well understood that success, is a process, not a goal.
Here is Ahmed Al-Busaidi ‘s take on everyday motivation for inspired living:
What is your philosophy on life and living?
I believe that we only live once so we should make the best of it. Life is an opportunity for those who want to achieve… dream big and work hard. You will succeed.
How much of your personal life lessons do you incorporate into your talks?
Almost all of them … I like to keep myself close to the audience by giving my life lessons to them and allowing them to express and share theirs.
What are some of the challenges you face as a motivational speaker?
The main challenge I believe, one that must be addressed is that a lot of the youth today are immersed so much in social media that they think it can teach them real-life lessons on communication and its skills. But this is not a good approach, as it wouldn’t serve long term in life. As a speaker, I think we should be given better opportunities by decision-makers to talk to youth directly about life lessons.
Should positive thinking be the focus of motivational talks?
It’s a big part of it, but it’s not all of it. A successful speaker needs to be a good storyteller and with a good understanding of people’s vibes and energy.
What are the values you endorse to foster self-growth among children?
Allowing children to be spontaneous and just being themselves. Letting them ask questions and never becoming over-protective as a parent.
Are we focusing overtly on the concept of success and not grasping the import of personality development among children?
Unfortunately, yes. Success, in my opinion, is a process, not a goal or a final destination. I believe children and people, in general, should always be big dreamers and planners, as this leads to personal growth which, consequently, builds up a successful person.
What is needed to help children learn the positive facets of sharing and caring?
Set an example ourselves… If we adults are loving human beings, then children will learn these values from us.
What is Ahmed Al-Busaidi ‘s most important advice for people to get motivated in their lives?
Dream big … Work hard and always be open to new experiences and opportunities.
