Despite having a strong follow-up single, the era seemed to fade fast when the album dropped and was deservingly the worst album of 2018 consisting of 4 good tracks and filler. Perhaps ‘Sweetener’ being such a terrible album helped Ariana in more ways than we would have expected; her team pushed for a quick release of a new single and era and with ‘Thank U’, ‘Next’ and ‘7 Rings’ she’s more ‘Ariana’ than ever, and in fashion, she has cemented her aesthetic and is bringing back the 90’s trends in an elevated style that is truly admirable.
Now let’s hope she reschedules the show she cancelled in Abu Dhabi a couple of years ago.
