Ale Al Zadjali takes a trip down the catwalks of 2017 to present his list of bests that will add glamour to the New Year
I know it’s 2018 and we are all very excited, but let’s pause for just a minute and relive a bit more of the 2017 catwalks.
I need to kick this off by talking about the 90s supermodel reunion that took place during Versace’s Spring 2018 show, that was, in every way, shape and form, simply iconic – although Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington were missed. Then you have Saint Laurent hosting their Spring 2018 show at…The Eiffel Tower!
L’Oreal hosted their first show and had acting legends Helen Mirren and Jane Fonda sashaying down the runway.
Rihanna might have continued to pretend that she’s not a musician and ventured into everything she could and killed the makeup game, but her motorbike exit during her Puma spring 2018 show was everything that her Instagram handle ‘badgalriri’ embodies.
Of course I need to re-mention Bobby Abley’s Teletubbie stunt during London Fashion Week. Another big moment for the catwalk is the fact that Tyra Banks is back for ANTM, which means we are in for more iconic critiques and, until it airs, I’ll be working on my smile.
However, the ultimate catwalk moment belongs to Celine Dion, who was a new woman in 2017 and killed the fashion game and made everything a place for catwalk and became everyone’s favorite fashion celeb.
