Raspberry and Banana Smoothie*
This smoothie gives your brain all the vitamins and minerals it needs to improve mental and physical energy, as you source potassium from bananas, powerful antioxidants from raspberries, omega-3 essential fatty acids from flax seeds, good fibre from spinach, and magnesium and Vitamin E from almond butter which is good for blood pressure and heart health.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp flaxseed
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cup banana, ripe
- ¼ cup spinach
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tsp lemon juice
Method:
- Wash raspberries and spinach leaves, put them in the blender.
- Add all the other ingredients to the blender and blend them together to make smoothie.
Notes: Add ice cubes if you like your smoothie chilled.

Green Smoothie
This smoothie helps you naturally lose weight without depriving yourself of essential vitamins and minerals required for your daily intake when you are on a diet. Kale is high in fibre, powerful antioxidants, and Vitamins A and K; celery is also full of antioxidants, Vitamin B6, potassium, and folate. Cucumbers are alkaline, which stabilise the pH balance, green apples help maintain the health of skin and hair, and tropical pineapples are a great source of Vitamin C and manganese, which also have dietary fiber to aid in easy weight loss.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup almond milk
- 4 celery stalks
- 1 cucumber
- 1 cup kale
- ½ green apple
- ½ squeezed lime
- 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1 cup pineapple
Method:
- Wash celery stalks, cucumber, kale and green apple; cut them into pieces and put them in blender.
- Add all the other ingredients in the blender and blend well until smooth.
Notes: Add ice cubes if you like your smoothie chilled.
